Since 2008, she has worked on the radio with celebrities like Singapore’s funny man Hossan Leong, local hip-hop icon Sheikh Haikel and Australian comedian Jonathan Atherton, as well as veteran DJs Suzanne Walker and Daniel Ong.
As a TV presenter, she has hosted various lifestyle programmes on TV like “CEO Epicure” (co-hosted with Lisa Ang), “Restaurants Rated” on Prime Time Morning and the hugely popular “Beauty Past Perfect”. Winning “Best Lifestyle Presenter” (Food Category) for Channel New’s Asia’s “Audition Me!” in late 2005, a nationwide search for upcoming television presenters, helped establish Cheryl as more than just a singer and actress, but as an outstanding host as well.
A professional Master of Ceremonies since 2005, her exotic Eurasian looks, dance and fitness background, qualifications in Sports Medicine and bubbly personality make her the perfect choice for hosting sporty events, while her class and elegance have seen her hold her own in the presence of dignitaries and ministers at formal events.
A graduate of Nanyang Polytechnic, School of IT (Diploma in Digital Media Design) and rated one of FHM’s Top 100 Sexiest women in both 2002 and 2006, Cheryl’s charm and charisma make her a favoured host not just for events pertaining to technology, or men’s magazines but also for beauty and fashion-related events, product launches and roadshows.
Cheryl has sung for numerous corporate events and club performances and on several song recordings, which have enjoyed regular airplay.
Her experience as a theatre and TV actress makes Cheryl an ideal voice-over talent and she has lent her voice to numerous TV & Radio commercials to date. Nominated twice for Best Supporting Actress for Life Theatre Awards in 2006 & 2008, Cheryl was also in several local TV drama series like Lifeline (Seasons 1 & 2), Going Straits & Singapore Shakes.
