Musicians: PLUSH

Formed in November 2014, Plush is a 3-piece acoustic band consisting of Joy Yang on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Gregory Teo on lead guitar and vocals, and Eugene Chew on the bass guitar and backing vocals. The band was formed “by accident”, when Joy was called upon to stand in for a friend’s gig and had to look for a guitarist and bassist the night before.

         With Joy’s powerful and unique vocal tone, Gregory’s impressive guitar soloing and Eugene’s ability to tastefully turn the bass guitar into an improvisational lead instrument every now and then, compounded by a unified energetic, funky vibe, the trio naturally hit it off and quickly got on track with ad-hoc pub gigs and events. So far, the band has played in pubs like, Hard Rock Café, Sand Bar Sentosa, Starker’s Beer, Café Melba, Blujaz Café and the Prince of Wales and has played for a wedding event at Faber Peak Singapore.

Plush has a versatile repertoire consisting of uplifting 90s pop rock to modern day top 40s pop, and even a handful of 80s classics. They also love to play all-time favorite alternative/indie rock songs from bands like Radiohead, Crowded House, Red Hot Chilli Peppers etc. that people love but rarely get to hear live, every now and then.
